About the Wi-Fi QR Code Generator

Type your network name and password and get a QR code that connects phones automatically. iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and Android phones join from the built-in camera app, with no extra app needed.

It is ideal for homes, offices, cafés, hotels, clinics and Airbnbs: print it on a card or table tent instead of writing the password on the wall. Your password is turned into a QR code inside your browser and is never sent anywhere.

How to use the Wi-Fi QR Code Generator

1

Enter your network details

Type the Wi-Fi name exactly as it appears (it is case-sensitive) and the password.

2

Choose the security type

Most routers use WPA/WPA2/WPA3. Pick None only for open networks.

3

Print and test

Download the QR, then test it from a phone that has never joined the network.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect to Wi-Fi with a QR code?
Open the phone's camera, point it at the QR code and tap the "Join network" notification. On older Android phones use Google Lens or the Wi-Fi settings scanner.
Is it safe to make a Wi-Fi QR code online?
On PDFPace, yes. The code is generated in your browser and your password is not uploaded. Anyone who scans the printed code can read the password, so treat it like the password itself.
What if I change my Wi-Fi password?
The old QR code stops working. Make a new one with the new password; it only takes a few seconds.
Does it work for hidden networks?
Yes. Tick "Hidden network" so phones know to look for it.
